Licensed professional counselor and art therapist

I specialize in working with adults experiencing cancer, caregiving, and grief/loss. When you or your loved one is diagnosed with cancer, it’s common to experience anxiety, depression, grief, and existential stress. You may be thinking “Why me?” or notice a shift in your priorities. Your friends and family do their best to support you, but they don’t always know how to respond. Suddenly, life as you know it has changed. Therapy can offer a non-judgmental, supportive space to sort through and express the variety of emotions and thoughts that can arise. I will act as a compassionate companion as you navigate this part of your life and beyond, offering new perspectives, psychoeducation, and tools to cope with this unique grieving process and find meaning in your experiences.

If you’re not going through cancer, caregiving, or loss, I can provide an outlet for managing other concerns, such as anxiety, depression, major life transitions, relationship issues, and identity challenges. I tend to work from a person-centered, existential, and cognitive-behavioral lens, but will help you work toward your goals in the way that best suits your needs.

Our sessions can be talk-based or incorporate art therapy. No need for any art experience–in this space, art is a tool to help you gain insights and express emotions and thoughts that may be difficult to put into words. Since I offer telehealth appointments only, we can work with whatever materials you have on hand, even if it’s the back of a receipt and a pen!
