I believe that everyone has strengths and creativity inside them, and I’m passionate about helping people access these resources!
My mental health orientation is person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed, with a social justice lens. I work with people of all ages who are experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, and memory loss, as well as those who desire support during life transitions and journeys of self-development. I whole-heartedly affirm people of all gender identities and affectional orientations.
In addition to traditional talk therapy techniques, I’m trained in guiding people through creative processes which may involve visual arts, movement, music, drama, writing, or any form of creative expression that feels right for you. I believe the arts hold the power to transform people’s self-image, relationships, and quality of life. Whether you see yourself as an artist, or “can’t draw a straight line,” accessing your innate creativity can provide new perspectives and resources to help you meet life’s challenges. You are in charge of your therapeutic journey, and whether that journey involves traditional talk therapy, expressive arts techniques, or both, I am here to support you as we work together toward your goals.
Life is hard, but we’re not meant to do it alone. Whatever challenges you may be facing, you deserve support that affirms your whole self and respects you as the author of your experience.
