Have you ever listened to a podcast? Do you want to make changes in your life? Well, you’re in luck because there is a quick 12-minute episode that aims to provide tips for changing your mindset and increasing your ability to conquer the day. Sure, not every day is going to be amazing. But it is possible to change how we act and react to each day as life moves forward.
In case you don’t have time to listen or you’re on the edge of your seat dying to know more now, here is a little summary. Remember, change takes time and work.
Challenge Yourself to Improve
Each day you can try challenging yourself to be better. It doesn’t have to be something huge. When wanting to create change, small steps help create a more stable journey. Like the saying goes “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. That same concept applies with personal growth and change, it takes time.
Allow Time for Reflection
When we have the chance to sit and reflect on ourselves and the day, it brings an increased self-awareness. This doesn’t have to take forever. Being mindful and honest as you take even five minutes at the end of your day can be helpful. If you had a bad day, reflect how you could have improved things or improved your outlook. Imagine how the situation could have been different and why.
The 3 A’s
Awareness, acceptance, and accountability. As you take on each day try to increase your awareness, accept what you can and can’t control, and hold yourself accountable.
If you want to give this a go, start small by making a list of your actions. Think about what steps you would take to improve your day. Allow yourself some grace as you move through challenging times or if things do go as planned. Not everything is in our power, but we do have the control of what actions we take. When you wake up, set intention for your day. At the end, when you’re reflecting on how things went, think about how your intention impacted your day.
